New year is already giving us a positive start and we can’t help but spread ‘em! And since 2020 is shaping up to be a pivotal year, it’s important that we set our goals clear and make all of them happen!
So if you haven’t thought of any resolutions yet, here are some ideas from our teammates here in Acceler8.
I want to live a healthier and more active life this 2020! I’ve been so sickly the past year because I’ve been so neglectful of my health and overall well-being, and I want to change that. My first step is eating healthier by cooking more meals at home. Share some healthy recipes, anyone?– Mimi, Community Manager
This year I’ll finish one book a month. I’ve lost touch with my old habits (like reading) and I’ve been meaning to revisit them for a while now. First up is to finally finish Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude! Any books you’d like to suggest?– Mari, Senior Marketing Manager
“Tomorrow for sure!” has been my line on loop as I come up with an excuse every time I “plan” to workout. For my new year’s resolutions, I want to be able to incorporate an exercise routine every week and be consistent with it. Also, being in my mid-20’s, I wanna follow through with my medical checkups as I haven’t visited the doctor in a long time. Along with that, I’m gonna say something pretty basic: I’d like to watch what I eat and include more fruits and vegetables in my diet. Finally, I wanna be strict with saving money — from following a budget per week, distinguishing wants from needs before a purchase, and learning about investments.
– Kristine, Marketing Officer
This 2020, my new year’s resolution is to take more control of my finances. I want to explore more opportunity on how I could grow my money and of course to save more and spend less.
– Lawrence, Community Officer
2020 for me is about staying healthy, learning new skills and stepping out of my comfort zone.– Ludo, Marketing Manager
My new year’s resolution for 2020 is to be more organized with everything. My goal is to keep my areas clean whether it be at home or work. Having a notebook to write things down would help as well since I tend to be forgetful. Lastly, is being organized with money by religiously keeping track of income and expenses monthly. Meditation is also something I would like to add to my daily routine. Even just 5 minutes to start or end the day to relax, visualize, and reflect on everything. A simple step to guide my mind to stay calm, focused, and healthy.
– Julian, Events Officer
My goal this 2020 is pretty realistic—to learn Korean, and always come early to work.
– Sheena, Accounting Supervisor
I love setting goals and achieving them! But last year, I viewed my health and wellness as an afterthought. I realized that if I was going to keep dreaming bigger dreams, I would have to take better care of myself too. This 2020, my focus will be to build and practice good self care habits that will be the foundation of my #betteradulting life. Reflecting and journaling, setting aside time to exercise regularly and continue working on my financial wellness.
– Bianca, General Manager
So there you have ‘em! We’ve got a year to work on our goals and hopefully, fulfill them all! What’s your new year’s resolution for 2020? Tell us!
