What’s all the fuss about Fête de la Musique?

It’s that time of the year again when we all flock to the city to celebrate life and music! The 24th edition of Fête de la Musique aka World Music Day isn’t just about fun as it also aims to promote local artists around the world, and unite people through music. This year, over 30 stages will be participating with live performances that will highlight the best of Filipino talent.

So, what’s the all the fuss about this annual shindig? We’ve gathered some fun facts for ya’ll in case you’re still thinking twice about joining. To give you an idea:

1. Fête de la Musique is open to the public.

Since it’s a worldwide celebration, all concert stages are free and accessible to the public. These stages are usually scattered within the city, and are composed of a lot of bands and artists coming from all sorts of music genres, participating and dedicating their time to perform for free! So if we were you, you better plan ahead and pick your stages wisely.

2. Again, Fête isn’t just about fun.

…it’s also about having the freedom to express yourself through good music whether you’re an amateur, or an independent musician!

3. There are dozens of bands and artists participating in Makati alone!

While Fête de la Musique is a great platform to support the bands that you love, this event also brings you a lot of fresh new talents to check out live. What do you know, maybe you’ll come across your new fave this year!

The event has been around for 24 years!

We’ve got an awesome reputation at Fête and we’re getting better and better each year. In fact, there will be several other main stages aside from Greenbelt and A-Venue this year, so if you happen to be nearby in any of Puerto Real Gardens in Intramuros, Manila, Da Pipols Food Park in Pagsanjan, Laguna and Malcolm Square in Baguio City, you should definitely swing by.
