A Coworking Space is the Perfect Venue for Your Year-End Happenings!

Another challenging year is coming to a close. Now is the perfect time to reflect on the past year, celebrate that we’ve reached the end, and prepare to take full advantage of the upcoming year.

With this, finding the right venue for your team’s year-end events could still be tricky as we still face the global pandemic. This is where flexible workspaces come in. Whether it be a year-end meeting to plan for 2022 or a small gathering to recap and celebrate 2020, flexible workspaces such as Acceler8 can cater to teams of different sizes.

Private meeting room

Keep an open mind when choosing your venue for the event. A private meeting room can be used for smaller types of gatherings, such as team meetings, brainstorming for the upcoming year, or year-end reviews. Our meeting rooms in Acceler8 can accommodate up to 7 people, with enough space to practice proper social distancing.

Event space

If you’re expecting more attendees, you’d need an event space. To follow proper protocols, the space can only occupy 50% of its actual capacity. With this, for bigger crowds, it is best to have a concise plan, along with the space to be used for activities during the program, which would be ideal for larger scaled events.

It’s also important to take into account the setup when choosing a venue. The setup would depend on what kind of event you will be hosting. This could make or break the event, and will also play a big role in the engagement of those in attendance. Here are a few examples of setups for different events!

Theatre

Imagine yourself watching a movie in the cinemas. That’s theatre-style seating. Attendees are seated in clusters of rows, all facing the speaker or visual presentation. This type of seating arrangement is best for conferences, board meetings, product launches, lectures, and performances, and not so for events that require interaction between attendees

Classroom

A classroom setup, similar to the theatre style, has attendees seated in parallel rows. The difference would be the addition of tables. This is commonly used for lectures as it boosts the quality of interaction between the presenter and the attendees.

U shape

A U-shaped setup is pretty self-explanatory – chairs, tables are optional, are formed to a letter U, where attendees are facing inwards. A timeless setup that allows attendees to face and converse with each other, along with the presenter, if any. Should it be decided to forego the tables, this would be a better option for events that promote interaction amongst attendees, often used for workshops

A coworking space as is!

If you decide to have your gathering in a coworking space, and you already love the design of the space, you can opt to have the space set up as is!

With all the concerns surrounding these year-end gatherings, in Acceler8, we make sure to do our best to ensure the safest experience for our community. Our centers continue to be disinfected regularly while also having strict safety protocols implemented along with corresponding penalties for any violations.
