A Wine & Dine Guide Around Legazpi Village

Since it’s situated in the middle of the CBD, Legaspi Village is one of the busiest spots in Makati City, but it still has a few hidden gems that you can try to ease up on yourself and treat your palate with good food and drinks!

Voila! Here are some of the best F&B spots near Acceler8 Legazpi:

The Curator

A marriage between coffee and cocktail. Possible?

Yes, in fact, that’s how they stood out from the rest of the bars…or cafés in the city. Their menu is simple yet spectacularly beautiful that they were in Asia’s 50 best bars in 2016. The Curator is café during the day and transforms in what we call a “speakeasy” 6:30 PM onwards.

What to try: Everything.

Address: Unit 2, 1st Floor, Legaspi Park View Condominium. C. Palanca Street,

Your Local

Your Local has been there for a while and it’s still one of the best places that serve a fusion of Asian and western dishes. The clean industrial interior of Your Local is exactly like a typical NYC bistro that serves everything from pasta dishes, sandwiches, rice dishes to desserts.

What to try: Pomelo Salad, Chicken Rice, Smoked Salmon Donburi, Braised Beef Pasta, and Dense Banana Bread.

Restoran Garuda

Think you have a higher tolerance for spicy food? Restoran Garuda is a place that will literally spice up your day serving classic Indonesian dishes such as the classic Beef Rendang or Nasi Goreng. You can also make your own packets if you want to try a little bit of everything.

What to try: Sate Daging, Rendang Daging, Nasi Goreng, and Roti Bakar.

Lagrima

Lagrima is not just your ordinary taqueria. Their menu is inspired by Oaxaca in Mexico which includes our favorite Mexican comfort foods like nachos, street tacos, and burritos. They also have the best beverages perfect for each bite of that carne asada!

What to try: Sweet Potato Tacos, Avocado Tostada, Super Nachos, Carnitas, and Carne Asada.

Stockton Place

Stockton Place is the place to go if you’re in the mood to eat like a queen. It’s pretty easy to guess what’s good in their menu like foie gras, scallops, and rib-eye steak—which perfectly suits their sophisticated interiors.

What to try: Roasted Steak Salad, Seared Scallops, Rib Eye Steak, Foie Gras Salad, and Chocolate Marquise.

Mandalay has a good selection of scotch for enthusiasts that know their whiskey. If you have no idea what you’re getting into, you can try Japanese whiskey or the famous Kavlan of Taiwan. The bar is located just behind Belle & Dragon in C. Palanca Street.

What to try: Japanese Whisky, and Kavlan.
